How to Use CMD to Recover Super Hidden Files
Pen drives are commonly used for transferring data between computers. However, the important data stored on a pen drive can be vulnerable to viruses. Viruses infect pen drives frequently, and one common problem is that they can hide files and folders and create duplicate folders with ".exe" extensions. This can be a major issue for those who rely on pen drives to store important information.
To view super-hidden files hidden by a virus on a pen drive, you can change the settings in Folder Options. However, if the virus has infected the system and Folder Options is not accessible, you can still reset the files and folders on the pen drive using the command prompt. This will allow you to access your important data and remove any harmful viruses that may be present on the pen drive.
Now demonstrate how to use Command Prompt (CMD) to recover super-hidden files.
- Plugin Pen Drive to your computer.
- Open Run by pressing Win + R.
- In the Run box, type CMD and press Enter.
- Enter the drive letter of your Pen Drives. Example: K
- You will see the command prompt. Enter the drive letter of your flash drive followed by a colon. Example: K: Type the following: Attrib -s -h /s /d *.* and Hit Enter.
Please keep in mind that each command must be followed by a space.
Please allow some time for it to be completed. You can now see that all the files and folders on your Pen Drive are normal.
